dc.description.abstract	Glacier Area Outline (GAO) for mainland Norway from the period 1947-1985. Outlines were digitised from the N50 topographic main map series of Norway (denoted M711 or N50). The topographic maps are constructed from air photos taken in the period 1947-1985, paper maps printed at a scale of 1:50 000. he maps were georeferenced using control points (e.g. N50 coastlines, lakes and rivers). This dataset is a contribution to Cryoclim.	en_US
